How to participate
Join Lighter
- Go to the Lighter website.
- Connect your wallet.
- Click the Create Account button.
- Deposit available assets from your preferred chain.
- After a successful deposit, authenticate your account to complete setup.
Trade and Earn Points
- Season 1 of the Lighter Points Program ended with the final Private Beta distribution on September 30, 2025.
- Season 2 distributions occur every Tuesday and may be adjusted by the Lighter team at their discretion.
How to Earn Points
- Run organic trading strategies through the UI or API.
- Sybil, self-trading, or similar activities do not earn points.
- Track your progress on the Leaderboard tab.
Invite Friends
Once you reach a certain (undisclosed) number of points, you’ll unlock the ability to invite others.
- Go to the Portfolio tab.
- Click the Invite button in the top right corner.
- Copy your referral link.
- Share it with your friends to invite them to Lighter.
