During the accumulation phase, trading volumes are significantly higher than usual. The price fluctuates within a range for extended periods, delivering failed breaks in both directions, which makes it harder to analyse future price moves. This may also be caused by the activity of trading bots, or represent the appearance of a bigger player building up his position.
