What is dtcpay, the Singapore payments company?
dtcpay is a regulated payments company based in Singapore, operating through legal entity Digital Treasures Center Pte Ltd. The company provides merchant acquisition, account issuance, domestic and cross-border money transfer, e-money issuance, and Digital Payment Token (DPT) services. dtcpay holds a Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and moved to a stablecoin-only acceptance model in December 2024, phasing out Bitcoin and Ethereum payments by January 2025. dtcpay is not a cryptocurrency — no token exists.
Which payment services does dtcpay offer?
dtcpay offers merchant acquisition, account issuance, domestic and cross-border money transfer, e-money issuance, and digital payment token services. The Digital Treasures Card, launched in February 2025, lets holders spend stablecoin balances as fiat at merchants. Acceptance focused on Bitcoin and Ethereum until January 2025; stablecoins including FDUSD and WUSD now anchor the model. Partnerships extend the stack: Primer handles fiat and stablecoin processing, WalletConnect powers onchain stablecoin payments (October 2025), and BitGo Singapore provides custody, wallets, and settlement (June 2026).
Is dtcpay licensed in Singapore?
Yes. dtcpay operates under a Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, license number PS20200531. The Singapore license covers digital payment token services, e-money issuance, and money transfer. dtcpay also holds licenses in Hong Kong and other jurisdictions. The Major Payment Institution tier is the license class Singapore applies to payment firms processing at institutional scale.
Who invested in dtcpay?
Per DropsTab data, dtcpay raised approximately US$41.5M across three funding rounds. The US$16.5M Pre-Series A, announced 21 June 2023, was led by Kwee Liong Tek, chairman of Pontiac Land Group, with participation from David Tung, Jean Marc Poullet, and Tham Sai Choy. Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India, part of Temasek-backed Vertex Holdings, led the US$10M Series A announced 17 March 2026.
What does dtcpay's Series A extension signal about the company's maturity?
The US$15M extension, announced 18 September 2026, brought in SBI Group through SBI Ventures Asset and the SBI-NTU-Kyobo Digital Innovation Fund, alongside Genedant Capital — a MAS-licensed Singapore manager with more than US$2B in assets under management. The extension took the Series A to US$25M, and Kwee Liong Tek increased his commitment. Backing from a Japanese financial group and a licensed asset manager gives dtcpay support from regulated institutions rather than crypto-native funds. Funds target merchant network scaling, an enterprise portal, and expansion into regulated markets in Asia and Europe.
Does dtcpay have a token?
No. dtcpay has no token: no on-chain contract, no ticker, no total or maximum supply, and no token generation event announced. Revenue comes from payment processing, not tokenomics. Aggregator pages showing a "dtcpay token" price are placeholders without a live asset behind them. A token launch, if it ever happens, would be a new event requiring its own announcement — none is confirmed today.
Is there a vesting schedule or unlock calendar for dtcpay?
No vesting schedule exists for dtcpay because no token exists. There are no allocations, cliff dates, or unlock events, and no inflation risk from token emission. The risk runs the opposite way: if the company issues a token in the future, insider allocation and vesting terms are unknown today and would need fresh verification at the announcement.
Can you buy dtcpay on a crypto exchange?
No. dtcpay trades on no spot, derivative, or decentralized exchange — the company is pre-token and pre-trading. A market would require a token launch followed by listings, and dtcpay has announced no such launch. Price quotes labeled "dtcpay" on third-party sites do not represent a tradeable asset.
Does dtcpay have an airdrop?
No. dtcpay has run no airdrop, ICO, IDO, retrodrop, or earning campaign — consistent with having no token. The company's public milestones are corporate events, not user campaigns: the Digital Treasures Card launch in February 2025, the WalletConnect partnership in October 2025, the BitGo Singapore partnership in June 2026, and the SBI investment in September 2026. There is nothing for users to earn or claim.
Is dtcpay the same project as DigiTap ($TAP)?
No. DigiTap ($TAP) is a separate project with its own token, and search results sometimes mix the two because of similar names. dtcpay — Digital Treasures Center Pte Ltd, a Singapore-licensed payments company with no token of its own — shares no issuance or corporate relationship with DigiTap.
