About Soda Labs

What is Soda Labs?

Soda Labs is a cryptography company that builds Bubble, a chain-agnostic confidentiality coprocessor for public blockchains. Bubble lets banks, payment companies, and tokenization platforms transact on-chain without exposing balances, positions, strategies, or customer data. The underlying technology runs garbled-circuit MPC on standard cloud CPUs. Founders Avishay Yanai (CEO) and Meital Levy (CTO) each hold a PhD in cryptography or algorithms. DropsTab classifies Soda Labs under Privacy Coin and Infrastructure; the protocol is pre-token and not yet trading.

How does the Soda Labs Bubble protocol work?

Bubble processes encrypted transactions on public blockchains using garbled-circuit MPC (GC-MPC). The Soda Labs architecture comprises an MPC network running the garbled-circuit protocol, a Bubble service handling access-control management and encrypted-input validation, a Bubble interactor for off-chain user requests with per-user-key encryption, and a GC Solidity library for writing confidential contracts in plain Solidity. Company-reported throughput exceeds 500 confidential transfers per second on Arbitrum. The system is audited by Hacken and covered by three granted US patents.

Which blockchains does Soda Labs Bubble support?

Bubble supports Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, and COTI, with a Solana expansion underway. On COTI, Bubble runs as the mainnet's privacy layer, where Soda Labs reports more than 100 million transactions processed. Soda Labs also completed a Chainlink Labs pilot on privacy-preserving bridge policy enforcement and a pilot within the ECB Pioneer programme.

How is Soda Labs different from privacy coins like Monero?

Soda Labs' Bubble provides confidentiality with controlled, selective disclosure rather than the full anonymity of privacy coins such as Monero or Zcash. Institutions can transact on-chain while keeping balances and positions hidden, then disclose specific data to regulators or counterparties when compliance requires it. This selective-disclosure design makes regulatory alignment Bubble's core value proposition for institutional adoption.

Does Soda Labs have a token?

No Soda Labs token exists. No symbol, supply figure, contract address, or token generation event has been announced, and the protocol documentation contains no tokenomics. A token announcement would mark the project's first emission event; none accompanied the October 2026 seed round. Any future allocation structure remains undisclosed.

Who invested in Soda Labs?

Per DropsTab fundraising data, Soda Labs raised $3M in a seed round closed and announced October 8, 2026. NextBlock, a Luxembourg-based crypto venture firm, funded the round entirely as sole investor; no co-investors or angels participated. Round coverage describes NextBlock as the lead investor. The round valuation was not disclosed.

What does Soda Labs' seed funding signal about project maturity?

The seed round signals early-stage status: one investor funded the entire $3M, concentrating backing in a single fund and creating reliance on NextBlock for follow-on support. Founders cite a 12–18 month runway, with funds allocated to commercial expansion, additional blockchain integrations, validator-network growth, and hiring. Company-reported traction cited in round coverage includes 100M+ transactions on COTI and $20B+ trading volume on PriveX, the deployed confidential trading application.
