What is the VNDC stablecoin?

VNDC is a stablecoin pegged to the Vietnamese đồng (VND), issued by VNDC Holding Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-registered company, around 2019-2020. The token served as the core asset of the VNDC ecosystem, a wallet and exchange platform that offered OTC trading, P2P transfers, staking and payment cards for Vietnamese users. VNDC exists as a token on Binance Smart Chain and Polygon. Vietnam does not recognize cryptocurrency as legal tender, so VNDC is a private offshore issuance rather than a state instrument.

Is VNDC a stablecoin?

Yes. VNDC is a stablecoin with a nominal peg of 1 VNDC = 1 VND. Per project materials, the peg is guaranteed by the "VNDC Alliance". DropsTab classifies VNDC under Finance and tracks the asset as currently trading. The peg claim is issuer-side: no independent attestation backs the 1:1 rate today, and market prices have sat below the nominal level.

Does the Vietnamese government back VNDC?

No. VNDC is issued by VNDC Holding Pte. Ltd., a private Singapore company, and carries no state guarantee. The State Bank of Vietnam has stated that use of virtual currencies is not legally protected under Vietnamese law. Holders therefore bear full issuer and custody risk with no sovereign backstop.

What reserves back VNDC's peg?

Per a November 20, 2020 Finextra report, VNDC launched as a 100% collateral-backed token, with reserves held by First Digital, a Hong Kong regulated trustee. No current public attestation of reserves exists, and VNDC appears among stablecoins without a published independent audit. Backing claims rest on the issuer and the custodian named in 2020.

Does the VNDC token maintain its 1 VND peg?

Not reliably. The nominal peg is 1 VNDC = 1 VND, but the token has traded below that level on markets. The most recent public reserve attestation dates to 2020, and the issuer publishes no current proof of backing. VNDC should be treated as a stablecoin with an unverified peg and material depeg risk.

What is VNDC's total supply and max supply?

VNDC has no fixed maximum supply. The token circulates in full, with no allocation tranches, cliffs or unlock calendar; any supply change comes from mint or burn actions by the issuer, and no public minting policy is accessible. The live supply count is shown on the VNDC page on DropsTab.

Where can you buy VNDC?

Per DropsTab data, VNDC trades on the PancakeSwap (v2) VNDC/USDT pair, a decentralized-exchange (DEX) pool. No centralized-exchange spot listings and no derivatives venues are tracked. This single-pair structure means thin liquidity: exit size on one AMM pool is limited, and larger sales move the price materially. Third-party trackers likewise describe VNDC as absent from major CEXs.

Is the VNDC wallet and exchange platform still operating?

The original vndc.io platform no longer operates from that domain, and the project shows no current official web presence. The token itself still trades on the PancakeSwap VNDC/USDT pair tracked by DropsTab. No active airdrop, campaign or earning program is recorded.
