Donald Trump said he would raise the global 10 percent tariff he announced the day before to 15 percent in response to a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that his tariff mechanism was illegal.
"As President of the United States of America, I am immediately raising the 10% worldwide tariff on goods from countries that have been 'ripping off' the US for decades without any consequences (until I came along!) to a fully legal and proven level of 15%," Trump wrote on social media on Saturday.
