The Ethereum Foundation has begun staking ETH from its treasury reserves in accordance with a new policy published last year.

The Ethereum Foundation has begun staking a portion of its ETH. 2,016 ETH has already been staked. In total, it plans to stake around 70,000 ETH — all rewards will be returned to the foundation's treasury.

This move is in line with the treasury management policy announced in June 2025, which calls for active use of accumulated assets rather than simply holding them.
