Coinbase has opened stock trading to all US users and entered into a partnership with Yahoo Finance.

Coinbase has opened stock trading to all users in the US—the feature had been in beta since December. Now, more than 8,000 stocks and ETFs are available—commission-free, 24/5, with the ability to trade from $1 through fractional shares. Payment is possible in dollars or USDC.

At the same time, the exchange has reached an agreement with Yahoo Finance: buttons for direct access to trading on Coinbase will appear on the platform's asset pages. New users will receive a month of free Coinbase One subscription with zero commissions.

Plans include tokenized stocks and perpetual contracts on US securities for international users through Coinbase Bermuda (spring 2026, subject to regulatory approval).
