What is the Kalshi PreStocks token?

The Kalshi PreStocks token (KALSHI) is a Solana Token-2022 asset that gives on-chain traders price exposure to Kalshi, a private CFTC-regulated prediction-market company. It is issued by PreStocks — a third-party tokenization platform — not by Kalshi itself. Each token is backed 1:1 by SPV exposure to Kalshi equity and carries no shareholder, voting, or dividend rights. Trading began 24 February 2026. KALSHI is classified as a real-world asset (RWA) token.

Does KALSHI PreStocks hold real Kalshi shares?

KALSHI tokens are backed by a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) that PreStocks reports holds equity exposure to Kalshi. Token holders do not own the shares directly and have no shareholder rights. This structure carries a legal risk: in May 2026, Anthropic and OpenAI stated that unauthorized transfers of their private shares — including into SPVs — are void and unrecognized, casting doubt on similar tokenized products. The same risk applies if Kalshi were to challenge the share transfer underlying KALSHI.

How does the KALSHI token differ from the Kalshi platform?

Kalshi the company operates a federally regulated prediction market and has no official token — it has run no ICO, IDO, or airdrop, and has announced no plans for one. The KALSHI PreStocks token is a separate, unofficial product created by PreStocks to track Kalshi's private valuation. It is also distinct from Kalshi's own tokenized event contracts, launched on Solana in December 2025 — those represent individual event wagers, not company equity.

Where to trade the KALSHI token on Solana

KALSHI trades primarily on Meteora, a Solana decentralized exchange, where the KALSHI/USDC pair carries the bulk of activity. A secondary KALSHI/SOL pair also trades on Meteora, and Gate.io Futures lists a KALSHI_USDT contract. Liquidity is thin — circulating supply is small and order books are shallow, so large orders can move the price sharply. Per DropsTab data, the token has traded since its launch on 24 February 2026.
