What is Limitless (LMTS)?
Limitless is a decentralized prediction market on Base that’s built around speed. Markets resolve hourly or daily, not weeks later, and trading runs through a Central Limit Order Book instead of an AMM. That sounds technical, but the effect is simple: prices feel tighter, more responsive. Since launch, LMTS has been actively trading across both DeFi and centralized venues, which puts it past the “testnet experiment” stage and into real market territory.
What actually makes Limitless different from other prediction markets?
It’s mostly about structure and timing. Limitless leans into fast markets and a CLOB, closer to how traditional trading works. You’re not stuck waiting around forever for resolution. That alone changes behavior. People trade, leave, come back. It feels less like placing a bet and more like using a trading product. Not revolutionary on paper, but meaningful in practice.
How is the LMTS token set up?
LMTS has a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens. The split is clean: 1.5% private sale, 2% IDO, 28% team with a long 10-year vest, 6% advisors over 5 years, and the rest for ecosystem growth, rewards, liquidity, and operations. The IDO price was $0.05, setting a $75M FDV at launch. The token isn’t decorative. It’s wired into fees, incentives, and participation across the platform.
What does the vesting and unlock schedule look like?
Long, and intentionally so. At the October 2025 TGE, 25% of the IDO allocation unlocked immediately, with the remainder vesting over three months. Advisor tokens roll out from 2026 to 2029, while team tokens stretch all the way to 2035. That kind of timeline isn’t for optics. It limits short-term pressure and forces everyone close to the project to think in years, not quarters.
How much funding has Limitless raised?
In total, $17 million. The path matters here. A $3M Pre-seed in October 2024 led by 1confirmation, then a $4M Strategic round in July 2025 led by Coinbase Ventures, followed by a larger $10M Seed round in October 2025. Capital Launchpad activity supported token distribution, but most capital came through standard venture rounds. That usually signals longer-term expectations.
Who’s backing the project?
It’s a mixed cap table. Core backers include 1confirmation and Coinbase Ventures, with additional support from Arrington Capital, Digital Currency Group (DCG), Paper Ventures, Maelstrom, Collider Ventures, Public Works, WAGMI Ventures, and Punk DAO. Arthur Hayes is involved via Maelstrom and acts as an advisor. No single fund dominates, which is usually healthier than it sounds.
Was there an ICO or airdrop?
No classic ICO. Distribution leaned on usage instead. Points were earned by actually trading and participating, and that fed into the token launch. The LMTS airdrop is live and claimable, with 2% allocated to Limitless Points Season 1 users and 0.25% to Wallchain Epoch 1 participants. It’s a practical approach: reward activity first, worry about narratives later.
Where does LMTS trade today?
LMTS is already live. On-chain liquidity sits mainly on Uniswap V3 (Base) via LMTS/USDC, with additional Base activity on Aerodrome. On centralized exchanges, LMTS trades against USDT on BitMart, MEXC, KuCoin, BingX, and CoinEx. DeFi and CEX liquidity coexist, which isn’t glamorous, but it does help smooth things out.
What should people be cautious about?
Prediction markets still live in regulatory gray zones, especially around politics and sports. That risk doesn’t disappear just because the UX is good. Liquidity depth matters a lot with a CLOB—thin books can break the experience quickly. Competition is real, particularly from larger platforms. And while team tokens vest slowly, 28% is still meaningful. Volatility isn’t a bug here. It’s part of the landscape.
