What is the Lombard (BARD) token?

Lombard is a decentralized Bitcoin finance protocol building onchain Bitcoin capital markets. The flagship product, LBTC, is a yield-bearing liquid staked Bitcoin token minted 1:1 when users deposit BTC, which Lombard stakes through Babylon. The stack also includes BTC.b, Bitcoin Earn with an onchain credit strategy, Bitcoin Smart Accounts and an SDK spanning Bitcoin, EVM, Solana, Sui and Starknet. BARD is the governance and utility token of the Lombard protocol. Per the project, roughly $3 billion in Bitcoin has been onboarded across 50+ DeFi integrations on 10 blockchains.

Is BARD a coin or a token?
