What is the Movement (MOVE) token?

Movement (MOVE) is the native token of Movement Network, a modular Layer-2 blockchain that brings the Move programming language and the MoveVM — originally developed at Meta for Diem — to Ethereum. MOVE pays gas, secures the network through staking and carries governance rights. Per DropsTab data, the token generation event took place on December 9, 2024. Movement targets Ethereum developers who want Move-based contracts with resource-priced gas and day-zero Ethereum liquidity.

Is MOVE's maximum supply capped?

The maximum supply of MOVE is capped at 10,000,000,000 tokens — total supply equals the cap, per DropsTab data. No issuance exists beyond scheduled vesting unlocks. The token uses 8 decimals.
