About Spout Finance

What is the Spout Finance protocol?

Spout Finance is a DeFi lending protocol on Solana that lets users deposit tokenized US stocks and ETFs as collateral and borrow USDC at 0% interest. Instead of charging borrowers, Spout Finance automatically sells weekly covered calls against the deposited shares and passes the option premiums to stablecoin lenders, alongside T-bill yield on un-lent cash. The protocol connects tokenized US equities with on-chain credit and currently runs in beta on Solana Devnet.

How does 0% interest lending work on Spout Finance?

Borrowers pay no interest because lenders are paid from other revenue sources. Spout Finance automatically sells weekly covered calls against the tokenized shares held as collateral and routes the option premiums to stablecoin lenders. T-bill yield on un-lent cash adds to lender returns. Spout Finance takes a 20% cut of gross covered-call premium, reduced to 10% while the Insurance Fund sits at its target, and charges no fee on T-bill yield.

What tokenized stock collateral does Spout Finance accept?

Spout Finance accepts 11 approved tokenized US stocks and ETFs as collateral. The approved list spans technology and AI names, bitcoin and Solana ETFs, healthcare, financials, energy, and gold. Official documentation caps the loan-to-value ratio at 50%; a 75% figure circulating in project social posts contradicts the site. Per-asset liquidation thresholds run from 54.1% to 62.5%. A partnership with oracle provider Stork supplies real-time tokenized-asset pricing.

How much stablecoin lending yield do lenders earn on Spout Finance?

Spout Finance structures lender yield in two tranches with model targets that are explicitly not guaranteed. The Senior tranche is paid first, targets about 9%, and allows instant withdrawals with a 0-3% haircut or free withdrawals through a queue. The Junior tranche absorbs losses first, targets about 32%, and requires 45 days notice. Losses draw first on the Insurance Fund, then Junior, then Senior. An 85% utilization cap triggers automatic pauses, and lending withdrawals carry a 0.20% fee.

Who are the Spout Finance investors?

Per DropsTab data, Spout Finance raised $2,000,000 in a Strategic Round dated October 15, 2026. Institutional backers include Draper Dragon, Solana Labs, Flow Traders, Anchorage Digital, Solayer, Bering Waters Ventures, Vessel Capital, and Taisu Ventures. Angel investors include Solana co-founders Anatoly Yakovenko and Raj Gokal, Injective co-founder Eric Chen, former CFTC Chairman J. Christopher Giancarlo, and Superstate co-founder Dean Swennumson. The funding announcements did not disclose a valuation. The full backer list appears in the Fundraising section.

What does Spout Finance's $2 million Strategic Round signal about the project?

Spout Finance's Strategic Round designated no lead investor, spreading ownership across a broad syndicate. Backing from Solana Labs and Solayer aligns the protocol with Solana's tokenized-asset ecosystem. Flow Traders brings market-making experience, and Anchorage Digital brings custody infrastructure. J. Christopher Giancarlo joined as both angel investor and regulatory adviser, a signal of deliberate regulatory positioning for a tokenized-securities product. Spout Finance earmarked the $2 million for team expansion and a B2B credit system for tokenized-asset issuers, exchanges, and wallets.

Does Spout Finance have a token?

Spout Finance has no token. The protocol operates without a ticker, a contract address, or an announced TGE date, and no supply or allocation figures exist. Protocol economics disclosed so far are fee- and tranche-based rather than token-based. Any vesting schedule, unlock calendar, or supply cap quoted for a "$SPOUT" token does not pertain to Spout Finance.

Is the $SPOUT memecoin on Solana related to Spout Finance?

No. A separate memecoin trading under the $SPOUT symbol exists on Solana and trades through Jupiter. That token is unrelated to Spout Finance. Its price, supply, and contract address must not be attributed to the Spout Finance lending protocol, which has no token of its own.

Where is Spout Finance available?

Spout Finance excludes residents of the United States, Canada, and sanctioned jurisdictions from its service. The tokenized-equity collateral model carries regulatory exposure inherited from the underlying issuer products, because tokenized US stocks fall under securities frameworks. Spout Finance's addition of a former CFTC chairman as regulatory adviser reflects this exposure.

Is Spout Finance live, and can users borrow against tokenized stocks today?

Spout Finance runs a beta on Solana Devnet. A private beta is planned, and no mainnet launch date has been announced. The protocol's asset is not yet trading: no spot, DEX, or derivative markets exist, and no contract address is deployed. Users cannot borrow against tokenized stocks on mainnet until the private beta opens and a mainnet launch follows.
