MoonPot Finance is a decentralized finance (DeFi) project that aims to provide users with the opportunity to win jackpots of various cryptocurrencies, starting with Dogecoin. It implements a mechanism with certain buy requirements to address the issue of buying pressure in DeFi. The project has a prize pool that accumulates from a 5% fee on every buy and sell transaction. Once the prize pool reaches $2000, it is randomly awarded to two winners. 75% of the prize goes to someone who purchased while the jackpot was building, and 25% goes to a random holder who has at least 0.1 BNB worth of Moonpot. If nobody makes a qualifying purchase for a specific period of time, the jackpot goes to the last person who made a 0.1 BNB buy. The project also plans to add additional cryptocurrencies for jackpot awards based on community votes.
