About Antseed (ANTS)

What is Antseed crypto?

Antseed is an open-source, peer-to-peer marketplace for AI inference - a permissionless alternative to centralized AI API gateways. Providers serve more than 700 AI models directly to buyers, including agents, coding apps, and teams, over encrypted connections with no approval process and no intermediary aggregator. The project describes itself as "like BitTorrent, but for AI." ANTS is the native ERC-20 utility token on Base, and the non-profit Antseed Foundation stewards the network. ANTS has not had its token generation event and is not yet trading.

How does the Antseed network work?

Antseed connects GPU owners and AI buyers directly, without a central gatekeeper. Anyone with GPUs, spare API capacity, or custom routers can serve models - no approval is required. Discovery runs through Mainline DHT, the distributed hash table behind BitTorrent. Buyers top up by card or Apple Pay. Providers sign their responses, and model fingerprints verify which model stands behind an endpoint; mismatches trigger reputation penalties. Two products are live: the self-hosted Antseed Gateway and the Antseed AI VPN desktop app.

What is the ANTS token used for?

ANTS serves three functions on Antseed. First, providers stake ANTS into provider pools - the locked stake backs a provider's identity and produces a stake-weighted reputation that routers and buyers can inspect. Second, buyers and sellers can earn ANTS from qualifying paid usage. Third, emissions follow recognized usage inside capped ranges. Payments are deliberately separate: AI services settle in USDC, while ANTS works as the network's trust, reputation, and incentive layer.

How are AI services paid for on Antseed?

AI services on Antseed are paid in USDC on Base, settled directly between buyer and provider. The network holds no funds and inserts no aggregator between the two sides. Buyers top up their balance by card or Apple Pay, and provider payouts arrive in USDC without an intermediary. ANTS is not the payment currency - the token coordinates staking and rewards while USDC handles transaction settlement.

What is ANTS's maximum token supply?

ANTS has a hard cap of 1.04 billion tokens, per the official Antseed token page. The contract has no admin mint function, and no minting beyond emissions is permitted. Circulating supply is 0 - the token has not launched. Emissions follow recognized usage inside capped ranges, and unused emission budget may be burned. Per-epoch emission rates are not yet published. Some third-party trackers show conflicting candidate supply figures; the official 1.04 billion cap is the authoritative number.

Who backed Antseed and how much funding did it raise?

Per DropsTab data, the Antseed Foundation raised $2.4 million in a Private Token Sale recorded on October 6, 2026. The official announcement describes the round as led by Spark Capital. Other disclosed backers include Collider (Ventures), DCG, North Island Ventures, Reciprocal Ventures, Relayer Capital, and Venice.ai, alongside individual investors including Yan Liberman and Tommy Shaughnessy. The round is the Foundation's first disclosed funding.

What does Antseed's fundraising signal about the project's maturity?

The $2.4 million private sale gives Antseed institutional backing from established crypto and venture firms, with Spark Capital as lead per the official announcement. Use of funds goes to the non-profit Foundation's work on network development and independence - not to a corporate treasury. No single backer is reported as holding a dominant allocation, which keeps concentration risk low on disclosed data. Allocation percentages and the round's valuation remain undisclosed.

When will ANTS launch and start trading?

No TGE date for ANTS has been announced. Antseed's token is not yet trading, and no trading pairs exist on centralized or decentralized venues. No public unlock schedule or cliff periods have been published either. Until a TGE is confirmed, the usage-based emission model and any undisclosed insider allocations are the dilution factors to track - both remain unquantified because per-epoch emission rates and allocation shares have not been disclosed.

Has Antseed announced an airdrop?

No public Antseed airdrop has been announced, and no dated campaign with start or end dates exists. The only disclosed earning mechanism is ongoing: buyers and sellers can earn ANTS through qualifying paid usage, with eligibility set by protocol rules, provider pool stake, and reward policies. The project cautions that paid activity does not automatically earn rewards - free requests do not qualify. Unverified "Antseed airdrop" claims circulating elsewhere should be treated as unconfirmed.

What are the risks of staking ANTS in provider pools?

Withdrawing ANTS from a provider pool before its lock expires can burn part of the staked amount - a direct, built-in loss mechanism for early exits. Beyond that, pre-TGE uncertainty applies: per-epoch emission rates are unpublished, so inflation risk cannot be assessed yet, and the split between insiders, foundation, and community is not publicly disclosed. ANTS is also not yet tradeable, meaning staked positions cannot be exited on a market until listings appear.
