About Off The Grid

What is Off The Grid?

Off The Grid is a AAA cyberpunk battle-royale from Gunzilla Games that blends fast shooter gameplay with optional on-chain ownership of items. You can play it like a regular game, or lean into the crypto layer to trade skins and gear. The key idea: fun first, with blockchain features running quietly in the background.

Does the project have its own token?

No. The project does not have an official token yet. That means there’s no coin or ticker to buy. If you see a supposed token trading somewhere, treat it as unrelated. Gameplay rewards can be items or NFTs on the GUNZ chain, but there’s no separate project crypto token.

So what’s the GUN token?

GUN is the product token of the GUNZ blockchain, not a game token. It functions as the network’s gas for transactions, minting, and marketplace operations. Supply is fixed at 10 billion. It’s infrastructure fuel rather than a ā€œgame coinā€; when priced off-chain it’s typically referenced in usd or usdt terms.

How do players earn or trade items?

Players earn on-chain items through gameplay loops such as missions, Battle Pass progression, or events. Those assets can be held, traded, or bridged within the GUNZ ecosystem and supported markets. No classic ā€œairdrop farmingā€ here; the intent is play-and-own. Ownership persists outside sessions — the practical bridge between gaming and crypto.

Is there an Ambassador or community program?

Yes. The Ambassador Program (active since September 11, 2025) recruits streamers, creators, writers, and moderators. Perks include early access to content, private Discord and dev calls, social boosts, in-person events, giveaway codes, and unique in-game items. It’s volunteer-based (not employment). Applications are reviewed via the official page, typically within a month.

Where can players access the game and what’s the status?

Early Access began October 8, 2024 on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. GUNZ mainnet and the wallet SDK launched March 31, 2025; Steam integration followed in July 2025. Console mainnet migration is slated for late 2025 pending approvals, with a full narrative campaign targeted for 2026.

What’s next on the roadmap?

Near-term goals include console mainnet migration and a 60-hour campaign (Q4 2025). In 2026, expect ranked modes, ā€œkill-to-upgradeā€ progression across platforms, broader GUNZ support for other AAA titles, and a fiat on-ramp so purchases can settle in usd while the chain handles crypto under the hood. A quick take: fewer hoops, more play.

Any notable risks?

Competition in battle-royale is intense. Web3 features are optional, which is smart, but adoption depends on players finding real utility. Permissioned subnet governance brings centralization trade-offs. Regulatory clarity varies by region. The test is simple: can the studio keep gamers engaged while the token and crypto rails stay invisible unless wanted?
