See MorePerle Labs: Project Profile and Airdrop
This overview covers Perle Labs' point farming mechanics, available AI contributor tasks, referral and airdrop details, funding history, and future token utility.
What is Perle Labs?
Perle Labs is a crypto-native data quality layer built right on Solana to give AI models reliable human feedback. They actually started out as Kiva AI back in March 2024 before doing a rebrand. Essentially, they're tossing out those shady micro-tasking farms in favor of an on-chain "Expert Economy." Why should we care? Well, for high-stakes stuff—think healthcare or defense AI—knowing exactly where the data comes from is massive. Perle locks that training data on-chain, so the credentials of the people labeling it are totally verifiable and permanent.
How do you start earning points on Perle Labs?
First off, grab a Solana wallet—Phantom or Backpack usually does the trick—and link it up. From there, you just fill out your profile by adding your name and actual real-world domain expertise. Season 1 went live on January 19, 2026, meaning you can jump straight into "Point Farming" right now. If you're new, it's honestly best to start with the Educational projects. Once you knock out a few of those, you'll eventually unlock the better-paying Accuracy tasks.
Which AI tasks are available for contributors?
There’s actually a pretty wide mix of AI training work, specifically text, image, audio, and video tasks. You could end up transcribing audio files, tweaking model text responses, or tagging actions in videos. They split the projects into Educational, Accuracy, and Social buckets. The cool part is that how well you perform gets permanently stamped on-chain. Over time, that track record basically turns into a portable resume that unlocks access to heavier, higher-paying quests.
Can you use a referral code to qualify for the airdrop?
Yeah, they do have a referral setup where you can grab bonus points just by inviting people. You end up getting a percentage cut of the verified activity points that your referrals generate. During the beta, we saw roughly a million annotators rack up over 333 million points. Most of the crypto research space is betting pretty heavily that these points—plus those Season 1 NFT badges—are going to be the main metric for any future retroactive airdrop. It’s basically their version of "Proof of Work."
Who backed the project and how much capital was raised?
They’ve pulled in about $17.5 million so far over two separate rounds. CoinFund stepped up first with an $8.5 million pre-seed back in October 2024. After that, Framework Ventures led a $9.0 million seed round around August 2025. Honestly, this kind of heavy VC backing is exactly what they needed. Handling millions of task events fully on-chain requires some serious infrastructure cash, plus they need capital to aggressively expand that global network of verified experts.
Is the Perle Labs token trading yet?
No, there isn't a trading token yet. Right now, in early 2026, they are still deep in the pre-market phase building out the contributor side. You won't find a public ticker or any secondary market liquidity. Instead, the whole thing runs on a dual system: you earn internal reputation points, but your actual compensation gets paid out directly in USDC stablecoins through their integration with the Circle Alliance.
What is the utility of the Perle Labs AI token?
When the token does drop, it’s meant to run their "Sovereign Data Layer." If you're a domain expert, you’ll probably need to stake the token to get your hands on the really high-value enterprise contracts. That staked bag acts as collateral—screw up the data, and you get slashed. Plus, major enterprises will be paying their protocol fees in the native token just to access the audited data. It's definitely built to be more than a basic reward token.
