About Stable (Pre-Market) (STABLE)

So, what exactly is STABLE?

STABLE’s basically a Layer 1 chain built for USDT-native payments. It doesn’t chase hype coins or DeFi farming—it’s about real settlement. Built by Bitfinex and Tether, the chain uses USDT itself as gas, cutting out volatility and guesswork. It’s aiming to become the place where the dollar moves at internet speed, with compliance and banking-grade reliability baked in.

How does it actually work in practice?

Transactions on Stable don’t rely on a native volatile coin. You just pay fees in USDT, and they confirm in under a second. It’s EVM-compatible, meaning developers can deploy Ethereum dApps straight onto Stable. The architecture focuses on predictable fees and high throughput—basically, you get a crypto network that behaves more like Visa than Ethereum.

Does Stable have its own token?

Not yet. Everything runs on USDT₀, the network’s on-chain version of Tether’s stablecoin. There’s talk about a potential governance or ecosystem token down the road, but nothing confirmed. If that ever happens, expect the usual setup—multi-year vesting, capped supply, transparent allocations. For now, the chain’s economic life revolves around utility, not speculation.

Who’s backing the project financially?

Stable’s investor roster is serious. The $28M seed round in July 2025 was led by Bitfinex and Hack VC, joined by PayPal Ventures, Franklin Templeton, eGirl Capital, Nascent, Mirana, Bybit, SIG, and Blue Pool Capital. Earlier strategic and funding rounds in June and September added institutional weight. It’s not your average retail-funded blockchain—it’s venture-grade from day one.

What’s this $500M pre-deposit campaign about?

It’s the big community entry point—Phase 2 of Stable’s Pre-Deposit Campaign on Hourglass. Starting Nov 6, 2025, verified wallets can deposit USDC (min $1K) and get USDT₀ on Stable once eligibility’s confirmed. KYC is mandatory, bots are banned, and only the first $500M in valid deposits count. Wallet caps: $100K in the first hour, $20M after. It’s part compliance test, part liquidity bootstrap.

Are there any tokens unlocking or vesting events to know about?

Nope—there’s no public token yet, so no unlocks. If one launches later, Stable will probably follow the standard multi-year vesting model with cliffs for insiders and transparent emissions. Right now, engagement’s through verified deposits and task-based campaigns, not speculative token drops.

Where’s the ecosystem heading next?

Stable’s roadmap runs in phases. Phase 1 delivered live USDT settlement and sub-second transfers. Phase 2, now underway, adds parallel execution and StableDB for throughput. By 2026, Phase 3 aims for 10 000 + TPS with DAG consensus. The north star? Becoming the institutional rail for on-chain dollars at scale.

What are the biggest risks here?

Mainly technical and regulatory ones. Stable relies on Tether’s transparency and EVM-level security, so both need to hold. Any cracks in USDT liquidity or compliance could ripple through the system. The team’s betting that clean architecture and strong oversight will keep those risks manageable—but that’s the trade-off when you tie an L1’s fate to one stablecoin.

Why does it matter at all?

Because it’s one of the few projects trying to make stablecoins boring—in the best possible way. No yield gimmicks, no casino vibes. Just reliable rails for digital dollars. If it works, Stable could quietly become the default settlement layer for the dollar on-chain. And sometimes, that kind of quiet utility ends up reshaping the whole game.
