Bean is a decentralized credit facility offered by Beanstalk. It allows users to participate in peg maintenance and earn yield opportunities by lending their Beans (the native token of Beanstalk) to become a Bean Farmer. The Field is the platform where users can sow Beans, which are burned and exchanged for Pods based on the Weather (the interest rate). The Pods can be redeemed for Beans on a FIFO basis when there is excess demand. Additionally, Beanstalk has an accelerator program called Bean Sprout, which focuses on recruiting talent, investing in builders, and supporting the growth of the Beanstalk ecosystem.
