Stacks is a platform that aims to bring the functionality and security of Bitcoin to the world of decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. It does this by building a layer on top of the Bitcoin blockchain, known as the Stacks Bitcoin layer. This layer allows developers to create and deploy smart contracts using a programming language called Clarity. One of the key features of Stacks is its trustless Bitcoin peg. This allows users to lock their Bitcoin on the Bitcoin blockchain and receive a corresponding token, called sBTC, on the Stacks blockchain. These include learning resources, a blog, YouTube videos, a developer newsletter, and community platforms like Discord and forums. Additionally, Stacks provides funding opportunities for projects through the Stacks Accelerator and Grants Program.
