Cryptocurrency Bounce and Dip

The following metrics identifies the strength of an asset at different time intervals. A strong "bounce" off of the identified support indicates robust demand from the market participants.

Several trading strategies exist to level off the effect of a price dip or bounce. If a price drop is predicted to be temporary, then "Buy the dip" strategy is used. Buying the dip can be profitable in long-term uptrends or to lower the average cost of an asset. However, if price bounces off the lows, but it is predicted to go lower in the long term, is said to be a "Dead cat`s bounce". In such scenarios it may be profitable to buy and sell the asset in short-term only, because such a bounce is usually followed by a continuation of the downward price move.
